What Does UZH Offer?

UZH provides MOOCs to the wider public in the belief that knowledge assists society in self-reflection, thus contributing to its development. UZH is particularly committed to the diversity of academic knowledge and disciplines, and the course content imparts research-based knowledge that goes beyond its direct practical application in everyday professional life. Some of these courses are university-level, others are aimed at lay people, meaning that people with different backgrounds in different places can participate in the innovative and researched-based education at UZH.

Coursera, which is currently the largest and best-known MOOC platform in the world, offers the MOOCs created by UZH. A registered partner of Coursera since 2013, UZH was the first university in German-speaking Switzerland to offer MOOC courses.
